This book has been created to honor the invaluable cultural heritage of the Afro-Peruvians, who left us a message of resilience and cultural resistance, with the hope of inspiring new generations to write and tell our own stories, recognizing the value of the oral tradition as a fundamental contribution of the Afro-descendant peoples of Latin America and educating children around the world by presenting three musical instruments from Peru: the cajón, the cajita and the quijada.
